The old Potter Foundry building was at one time part of the industrial base in Elora, Ontario. In 1916 John Mundell (a cabinet and furniture maker) bought the rights to the Kiddie Kar which was a small wooden tricycle and set up shop in the old Potter Foundry which is now becoming over grown. This old shell of a factory has appeared in the 1979 Hollywood movie "An American Christmas Carol" starring Henry Winkler.
